From Calgary, Canada, He currently practices both paediatric and adult urology. The scope of his practice includes both aesthetic and reconstructive urology, endourology (laser certification since 2003) and transurethral procedures, as well as ablative renal surgery.
Dr. Anthony Cook obtained his medical degree from Western University in Ontario, Canada. Not only did he graduate with distinction, but he also received the gold medal as the top student of his class. He subsequently pursued residency in urology at the University of Western Ontario where he excelled not only in his clinical duties as well as in various research activities.
Following his successful entrance into the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he pursued a paediatric urology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada where he was involved in numerous studies, presentations, authorships, and operative experiences. He was appointed associate staff within the Division of Paediatric Urology at the Hospital for Sick Children during his second year of fellowship.
Dr Cook then relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and within one year became the Chief of Paediatric Urology at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. He developed the first urology fellowship program at the University of Calgary and since trained seven urology fellows at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. He actively recruited two more members for the division as to further strengthen its clinical, research, and education portfolios. Dr. Cook currently practices both paediatric and adult urology in Calgary and and the surrounding areas.
